THE BRAND

Before going on to be made with 3d printers, UK brand Wire Glasses’ first sustainable sunglasses collection was handmade by a small team of artisans in Harare, Zimbabwe, using wire craft tradition. Now handmade in Northern Italy by eyewear specialists, the brand's ethos revolves around producing as minuscule an amount of waste as possible (calling all zero waste fanatics), whilst championing quality craftsman/ craftswoman-ship. The brand reduces their waste by using additive manufacturing – a process that consumes the precise material it needs to form a product – and even better, any powder product that doesn’t get utilised in one pair of glasses, can be used in the next... Neat!
